We currently have two bases but watch this space. The first is on the South Coast situated in a seaside setting called Stokes Bay in Gosport, Hampshire. Stokes Bay boasts the best views of the Solent and the Isle of Wight. Our second base, Fell Foot, is just up the road (about 6 hours). At Fell Foot, which is right on the southern tip of England’s largest natural lake, Lake Windermere, you will discover a very special place and get to enjoy breath-taking panoramic lake and mountain views.
Our season officially starts on 1st of April and we run right the way through to the end of September. We run a number of sessions throughout the days and we have a lot of kit and so we will always be able to accommodate you give or take a few hours. You can see our specific opening times on our contact page and you can check our booking system for real-time availability.
We pride ourselves in offering a great range of watersports activities using high quality equipment. We welcome all ages and abilities and so if you love watersports, you will love Stoked. Our activities vary slightly from one base to another but include: paddle boarding, sit on top kayaks, row boats and Red Shark bikes. Check out our activities page to see all activities on offer.
The easiest way to book with us is online. It’s quick and easy and this gives our teams the chance to plan ahead to make your experience seamless. However, subject to availability you can just turn up. If we can’t accommodate you straight away, we’ll do our best to find a slot later in the day.
We love hosting group bookings and look forward to welcoming you! If you are wanting to book a group session then it is best to speak to us first to discuss your requirements. We enjoy hosting hen and stag parties but in the interests of safety we operate a zero alcohol policy so please enjoy your time on the water and save your celebration drinks for afterwards.
Following making a booking, you will be sent some joining instructions which details everything so be sure to read this. The best thing to do is to check the weather on your booking date and then dress appropriately. We recommend clothes which are quick drying and so avoid cotton which just absorbs water. For footwear, it is best to wear wetsuit shoes or lightweight trainers. If you partake in activities barefooted then you do this at your own risk. Please also bring a full change of clothes, some other shoes and don’t forget a towel. Additionally, sunglasses, suncream, a hat and a bottle of water are all advisable. We do have a range of wetsuit shoes to buy on the day however, these are limited stock.
At times we may be able to lend you a wetsuit (subject to availability) but our wetsuits are limited and we can’t guarantee you will get a dry one. In peak season we do not tend to use wetsuits as the water temperature is comfortable without one. Currently at our Gosport base we do not offer wetsuits as we have no way of drying them overnight.
As with any busy attraction, parking requires some forward planning. At both of our sites parking is pay and display and so you need to ensure that you have paid the correct fee depending on how long you plan to stay. We ask that when you do come to our Stoked bases that you consider others and lift share where possible to save on parking spaces.
Fell Foot parking notice: Fell Foot park is owned and operated by the National Trust which means National Trust members benefit from free parking. Fell Foot is extremely popular in peak season and unfortunately parking is not guaranteed and we have no control over this. If you are unable to park at Fell Foot then you can park at Lakeside and cross over to Fell Foot on the ferry. Lakeside is a 10 minute drive from Fell Foot and a 10 minute ferry trip so please factor this into your timings.
Absolutely. Stoked exists to give people of all ages the opportunity to get on the water safely. Our team will fit your child in a suitable lifejacket if they are non-swimmers or a buoyancy aid if they are confident and able to swim. You can pair up with your small children on a kayak or paddleboat or if you and they are confident, they can hire their own kit. Please note that it is our policy that children must be accompanied by an adult. This parent/guardian doesn’t need to be on the water, but they must keep an eye on their children at all times and be within a communicable distance. Check out our video which talks you through how to get your children on the water safely setting them up for a positive experience.
Don’t worry, every year we attract tonnes of people like you and our team will look after you. Once we’ve kitted you up we’ll give you a safety brief which includes some land drills, we’ll explain the operating area and any things you need to be aware and then launch you. Once on the water, our team will look after you to help you stay safe and have a great time. One of the things which makes Stoked unique is that with all our sessions we provide on water safety cover and coaching. Some people are happy to crack on but if you feel you do need some extra support then just let our team know and we’ll be happy to help, set you challenges or show you some tips and tricks.
Please take a look at the joining instruction PDF you receive when you make a booking as it contains useful information including a site map. The first thing to do on arrival is to sort out your parking and then report to a member of Stoked staff to get you checked in. To speed this process up, please ensure that you have completed your digital waivers for all people in your party. If you need to get changed, we can direct you to the changing facilities/public toilets and we have lockers on-site at both bases to keep your valuables safe. Once you are checked in and ready to go, we will get you kitted up with lifejackets and buoyancy aids, brief you and then get you on the water.
We certainly do. These are perfect for families or friends and make a great birthday, Christmas, wedding, anniversary…. the list gift idea list goes on. We have a range of Stoked gift cards available from a 1 hire card right up to our 10 hire cards. All cards are valid for one season and it’s important to note that bookings are subject to availability and so the recipient needs to book their hire in advance to avoid potentially missing out on busy days. View gift cards here.
It is normally adverse weather (heavy rain and/or strong winds) which limits us from operating due to your and our team’s safety. We are always checking the weather and our team is pro-active with this and so if the weather is looking iffy we will contact you to discuss all the options.
We love getting to know our customers and getting people of all ages and abilities out on the water. Seeing you, your family and friends enjoying their time at Stoked is what motivates us to be bigger and better each season. We would love to hear how we did. You can leave a review on Facebook or Google or alternatively if you want to provide some more formal feedback then please submit this via our contact us form. Thank you so much for your support and feedback.

If you are going to be late for your activity, please inform us in advance so that we can rearrange your booking to a more convenient time. If you do not notify us in advance, then we will wait for a maximum of one hour. Delays beyond this time may result in the booking being cancelled by Stoked Watersports at their absolute discretion. In any such event the full amount of the event or booking fee may be forfeited. Any client who fails to arrive for any reason whatsoever, without having notified Stoked Watersports will automatically forfeit all fees due.
