We run regular kayak, paddleboard and row boat hourly hire sessions throughout the day perfect for beginners and for more experienced paddlers we have our SUP pick up and go service giving you the freedom to explore Lake Windermere at your own pace. Each season we help hundreds of Lake District visitors to get on the water safely, hone their kayaking and paddleboard skills and grow their confidence whilst having a lot of fun.

Fell Foot arrival and parking information

Fell Foot is a very popular destination with limited parking. Visitors must insure that they have paid for their parking. National Trust members are able to park for free. Please arrive to the site 45 minutes before your booking and then check in 15 minutes before you hire time slot.

When you arrive, please have your boat hire booking confirmation details ready for the welcome team. They will direct you to our base and explain where everything is. There is plenty to do and so we encourage you to bring your friends and family and make a day of it. Picnics are welcomed (no BBQs are allowed) or you can enjoy a host of quality on-site treats including barista coffee, lunch at the Boathouse café and ice cream from the parlour to get you in the holiday spirit.


Active Base

At Fell Foot we are blessed with a state-of-the-art Active Base facility which opened in 2018. The Active Base provides guests a great space to get changed and showered after being on the water. The facilities are equipped with underfloor heating, hairdryers and secure lockers to keep your valuables safe. A day pass for the Active Base is included with kayak and paddleboard hires.

Fell Foot is a very popular destination with limited parking and therefore, to guarantee entry, all visitors must book a ticket in advance, including National Trust members. This can be done by visiting: www.nationaltrust.org.uk/fell-foot Please arrive to the site 1 hour before your booking with us and then check in with our base 15 minutes before your time slot. This allows you time to access Fell Foot and park before we check you in, sort out paperwork and allocate your safety gear ahead of your session. Please also ensure that you are dressed and ready to go before your time slot begins.

National Trust members can park and enter Fell Foot free of charge, but please bring your membership card with you. To find out more about becoming a member, please visit: www.nationaltrust.org.uk/join-us.
You can easily book your hires online on our Book a hire page. Just enter the date and time and then follow the step by step instructions. You are not committed to anything until you have inserted your card payment details and submitted your booking.
Yes, same-day bookings are possible. However, to help us to accommodate walk-in bookings, we restrict online bookings for same-day bookings. If you want to book on the day, please email or message us on Facebook.
We recommend that you book online at your convenience. However, if you wish to call, email or Facebook message us then please do. Alternatively, you can just turn up and hope that we have space on the day.
You can pay for your hires by cash or by using a credit or debit card. At our kiosk we use a secure payment app called Square and online or card payments is our preference. You can learn more about Square at https://squareup.com/gb/en.
In most cases, this is caused by inserting the wrong number, expiry date or CCV number. Please make sure that you check all your details carefully. If you are sure you entered all your details correctly and you have enough funds in your card, we recommend contacting your card issuer or using another card.
Once you have submitted your booking, you will be taken to our booking confirmation page. You will also automatically receive a booking confirmation by email. You will need these details when you sign in on the day of your hire.
If you made a booking and were taken to our booking confirmation page, then we would advise you do not book again. First check to see if you have received an email booking confirmation. If you have not received an email booking confirmation, then please first check your email SPAM or JUNK folder. Failing that, please contact us and we will be able to assist.
On the day of your activity, you will need to sign in when you arrive. You can either present a printed booking confirmation or present it on your phone. Please note that when signing in anyone participating in Stoked activities, we will need to capture some basic details such as personal information and emergency contact details. Without these, we cannot let them participate.
If you are going to be late for your activity, please inform us in advance so that we can rearrange your booking to a more convenient time. If you do not notify us in advance, then we will wait for a maximum of one hour. Delays beyond this time may result in the booking being cancelled by Stoked Watersports at their absolute discretion. In any such event the full amount of the event or booking fee may be forfeited. Any client who fails to arrive for any reason whatsoever, without having notified Stoked Watersports will automatically forfeit all fees due. No liabilities whatsoever shall be attached to Stoked Watersports.
We understand that things change and so if you are unable to make your original booking date, please get in touch. We will seek to find you a slot at your convenience and subject to availability at the discretion of Stoked Watersports.
When you place a booking to purchase a service from Stoked Watersports, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your booking and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a service which is accepted by us when we send e-mail confirmation to you detailing that we've booked an activity or event for you ("Booking Confirmation E-mail"). That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the Booking Confirmation Email to you. In accordance with the law, you have a 7 day 'cooling off' period in which you have the right to cancel your purchase of any physical goods or services that we deliver to you. Outside of this, if you wish to cancel or rearrange your booking, please contact us. Please note that all bookings are non-transferable and cannot be re-sold without the prior consent of Stoked Watersports. Any refunds will be given at the discretion of the company management. In no event shall Stoked Watersports be liable for any damages whatsoever, and in particular Stoked Watersports shall not be liable for special, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, or damages for lost profits, loss of revenue, or loss of time, or disappointment suffered by you arising from a cancellation or postponement of a booking.
There are times where Stoked Watersports may need to cancel your booking. This could be for reasons which include adverse weather, government restrictions or staff illness. If, for any reason, Stoked Watersports is unable to fulfil a booking, we will immediately inform you. No liability shall attach itself to Stoked Watersports beyond the refund of the full booking fee paid by the client(s) or unused portion thereof. In the event of adverse weather, government restrictions or staff illness, customers will be offered alternative dates. Stoked Watersports reserves the right to cancel any booking at its discretion. In such event, Stoked Watersports will give reasonable notice to the customer and will refund the full amount of any deposit or booking fees paid. In no event shall Stoked Watersports be liable for any indirect or consequential damages howsoever arising.

Any dispute or query will be acknowledged within 7 business days and responded to accordingly. Where the matter is related to a query, we will endeavour to respond within 24 hours.
