River Hamble Kayak and paddleboard hire

Our River Hamble paddle base is situated within the picturesque River Hamble Country Park giving paddlers of all ages the opportunity to get on the water safely. Our team is here to support you to make sure you and your family have a positive experience. We have lifejackets and buoyancy aids available for all ages. Our kayaks and paddleboards can be shared between an adult and child, or more confident children can hire their own equipment. Stoked is perfect for family gatherings, stag and hen parties, schools and youth groups as well as corporate team building. We have plenty of kit and we are great at hosting groups. Get in touch to discuss you group booking.

Family friendly watersports hires on the River Hamble

At Stoked Watersports you can paddle and explore the River Hamble, there is something for everyone. We run regular kayak and paddleboard hourly hire sessions throughout the day perfect for beginners and for more experienced paddlers we have our SUP pick up and go service giving you the freedom to explore the River Hamble at your own pace. Each season we help hundreds of River Hamble Country Park visitors to get on the water safely, hone their kayaking and paddleboard skills and grow their confidence whilst having a lot of fun.

Kayak and paddleboard hire sessions

We offer a range of watersports and boat hire experiences including sit on top kayaks (singles and doubles) and paddleboards. Whether you are a complete beginner or a regular paddler, our team are on hand to support you. Paddleboards can be used by one person or shared with a small child making a fun family session on the water more affordable.

Self-led Pick up & Go adventures

For more experienced paddlers we offer our Pick up & Go service giving you the opportunity to tour and explore the River Hamble. Choose from a touring sit on top kayak or a touring style paddleboard and explore the River Hamble at your own pace. Half day and full day Pick up & Go hires are available. These are ideal for individuals, couples or group adventures.

Get your kids on the water safely

Our team at our River Hamble paddle centre are here to support you to make sure you and your family have a positive experience. We have lifejackets and buoyancy aids available for all ages. Dogs are very welcome too

We are proudly a dog friendly business - because adventures are better with your best friend by your side! Whether they’re seasoned sea dogs or just along for the splash. We just ask that you are responsible and keep your dogs on a lead being mindful of other Hamble Country Park visitors.

What a fabulous experience we have just had !! It was very windy and wet, the instructors were so brilliant, encouraging and helpful, the two children who went on the kayaks had a really long fun time and two other people in our party even had a free ride on the rib!! The children haven’t stopped talking about it,and after hot showers and hot chocolates are ready to go again!!

River Hamble – Lot's to see and do

Within River Hamble County Park you will also find an adventure play park, BBQ and picnic areas, a cafe and the opportunity to visit HMS cricket, an important piece of local history. Just down the road is Manor Farm - a traditional farmyard set in picturesque grounds. Just a 10-minute drive away is Mighty Adventures Crazy Golf, a unique dinosaur-themed mini golf experience. Come and explore everything the River Hamble has to offer.

 

Hamble arrival and parking information

The River Hamble County Park is just off the M27, between Portsmouth and Southampton. Use postcode SO31 1BH and follow the brown tourist information signs to guide you. There is a visitor information centre, café and toilet facilities by the main car park. From here, follow our signs heading down to the river where we operate from.

Stoked Watersports

Fell Foot is a very popular destination with limited parking and therefore, to guarantee entry, all visitors must book a ticket in advance, including National Trust members. This can be done by visiting: www.nationaltrust.org.uk/fell-foot Please arrive to the site 1 hour before your booking with us and then check in with our base 15 minutes before your time slot. This allows you time to access Fell Foot and park before we check you in, sort out paperwork and allocate your safety gear ahead of your session. Please also ensure that you are dressed and ready to go before your time slot begins.

National Trust members can park and enter Fell Foot free of charge, but please bring your membership card with you. To find out more about becoming a member, please visit: www.nationaltrust.org.uk/join-us.
You can easily book your hires online on our Book a hire page. Just enter the date and time and then follow the step by step instructions. You are not committed to anything until you have inserted your card payment details and submitted your booking.
Yes, same-day bookings are possible. However, to help us to accommodate walk-in bookings, we restrict online bookings for same-day bookings. If you want to book on the day, please email or message us on Facebook.
We recommend that you book online at your convenience. However, if you wish to call, email or Facebook message us then please do. Alternatively, you can just turn up and hope that we have space on the day.
You can pay for your hires by cash or by using a credit or debit card. At our kiosk we use a secure payment app called Square and online or card payments is our preference. You can learn more about Square at https://squareup.com/gb/en.
In most cases, this is caused by inserting the wrong number, expiry date or CCV number. Please make sure that you check all your details carefully. If you are sure you entered all your details correctly and you have enough funds in your card, we recommend contacting your card issuer or using another card.
Once you have submitted your booking, you will be taken to our booking confirmation page. You will also automatically receive a booking confirmation by email. You will need these details when you sign in on the day of your hire.
If you made a booking and were taken to our booking confirmation page, then we would advise you do not book again. First check to see if you have received an email booking confirmation. If you have not received an email booking confirmation, then please first check your email SPAM or JUNK folder. Failing that, please contact us and we will be able to assist.
On the day of your activity, you will need to sign in when you arrive. You can either present a printed booking confirmation or present it on your phone. Please note that when signing in anyone participating in Stoked activities, we will need to capture some basic details such as personal information and emergency contact details. Without these, we cannot let them participate.
If you are going to be late for your activity, please inform us in advance so that we can rearrange your booking to a more convenient time. If you do not notify us in advance, then we will wait for a maximum of one hour. Delays beyond this time may result in the booking being cancelled by Stoked Watersports at their absolute discretion. In any such event the full amount of the event or booking fee may be forfeited. Any client who fails to arrive for any reason whatsoever, without having notified Stoked Watersports will automatically forfeit all fees due. No liabilities whatsoever shall be attached to Stoked Watersports.
We understand that things change and so if you are unable to make your original booking date, please get in touch. We will seek to find you a slot at your convenience and subject to availability at the discretion of Stoked Watersports.
When you place a booking to purchase a service from Stoked Watersports, we will send you an e-mail confirming receipt of your booking and containing the details of your order. Your order represents an offer to us to purchase a service which is accepted by us when we send e-mail confirmation to you detailing that we've booked an activity or event for you ("Booking Confirmation E-mail"). That acceptance will be complete at the time we send the Booking Confirmation Email to you. In accordance with the law, you have a 7 day 'cooling off' period in which you have the right to cancel your purchase of any physical goods or services that we deliver to you. Outside of this, if you wish to cancel or rearrange your booking, please contact us. Please note that all bookings are non-transferable and cannot be re-sold without the prior consent of Stoked Watersports. Any refunds will be given at the discretion of the company management. In no event shall Stoked Watersports be liable for any damages whatsoever, and in particular Stoked Watersports shall not be liable for special, indirect, consequential, or incidental damages, or damages for lost profits, loss of revenue, or loss of time, or disappointment suffered by you arising from a cancellation or postponement of a booking.
There are times where Stoked Watersports may need to cancel your booking. This could be for reasons which include adverse weather, government restrictions or staff illness. If, for any reason, Stoked Watersports is unable to fulfil a booking, we will immediately inform you. No liability shall attach itself to Stoked Watersports beyond the refund of the full booking fee paid by the client(s) or unused portion thereof. In the event of adverse weather, government restrictions or staff illness, customers will be offered alternative dates. Stoked Watersports reserves the right to cancel any booking at its discretion. In such event, Stoked Watersports will give reasonable notice to the customer and will refund the full amount of any deposit or booking fees paid. In no event shall Stoked Watersports be liable for any indirect or consequential damages howsoever arising.
If you wish to raise a dispute or query, please write to us via our contact form addressing your message to Jonathan and Karen London. Any dispute or query will be acknowledged within 7 business days and responded to accordingly. Where the matter is related to a query, we will endeavour to respond within 24 hours.
